The experience is completely custom from beginning to end, including the option for framing. I work with a professional local framer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to facilitate the framing of your piece based on your specifications and with my guidance if you choose.

I create a sketch of your piece as well as pull previous paintings for visual inspiration to make sure you love the direction.
STUDY
Then, I create a small study painting based on these conversations to ensure you are completely delighted.
FINAL PAINTING
Guided by the small study piece, I will create your final painting, sending you progress updates along the way so you can share in the process.
PACKING & SHIPPING
Your painting is signed and packaged with care, and shipped to you along with a certificate of authenticity.

Frequently Asked Questions
The process takes about two months from the time your commission kicks off with our one-on-one consultation. I do book in advance and will let you know what my current schedule is and how far I am booking out at any given time.
Absolutely! We will discuss your photo and how to best represent the feeling, mood, and subject matter in my style of impressionistic painting.
That’s fine too! Sometimes clients have a place in their mind that is dream-like or imaginary. My job is to materialize this place for you.
The nature of soft pastel is delicate, so I provide an additional service of facilitating framing for my clients. I will work with you to choose a frame that you love and also offer my own guidance as to how we could best represent your painting. This is an additional service, however, and you are more than welcome to facilitate framing on your own.
